“A Poet at the Piano”: Jonas Aumiller Joins Felsner Artists
Pianist Jonas Aumiller joins Felsner Artists for general management worldwide. The young German has been described as a “poet at the piano” (Miami International Piano Festival) and praised for his “patrician musicianship and refinement” (Gramophone).
At the center of his artistry lies a rare combination of inward intensity and architectural clarity: performances shaped less by display than by a search for depth, structure, and expressive truth. His recital programmes reflect this aesthetic conviction, often juxtaposing core repertoire with his own transcriptions of organ and orchestral works.
“Jonas Aumiller combines flawless technique with this extremely rare gift of artistic sincerity, musical intelligence, integrity and depth that makes all the difference between a very good pianist and an artist who may have a truly lasting impact on audiences for many, many years to come. We proudly welcome Jonas to our roster of some of the world’s greatest pianists,” says Marcus Felsner, director of Felsner Artists.
In 2025, he received the Raymond E. Buck Jury Discretionary Award at the 17th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in Fort Worth, Texas, and was the only German pianist admitted to the XIX International Chopin Competition in Warsaw.
International critics have praised the ‘uncommon artistic sincerity’ of his playing: ‘restrained, noble, and deeply moving’ (Miami Piano Festival).
