Rave reviews keep coming as Sergei Babayan continues his voyage with the stunning solo programme SONGS. The French newspaper Nouvelle République had this to say of his October appearance at the opera house of Tours:

Andreas Scholl and his wife, pianist Tamar Halperin, have been awarded the Federal Cross of Merit. The German president Frank-Walter Steinmeier bestowed Germany’s highest decoration on them in a ceremony at Bellevue Castle in Berlin on 1st October. The medal honours exceptional civic engagement and social and cultural merit.
