Out on 30 October 2026 on ECM New Series: “Pages of a Biography”, the new album by Gidon Kremer and Kremerata Baltica, includes Andrius Žlabys’s Kaleidoscope of Lost Time – a work in five movements about the passage of time, written for Kremer and the ensemble.
The programme also features Georgs Pelēcis’s concerto Pages of a Biography, which draws on memories of Kremer’s early years in Riga, and two works by Arvo Pärt: Passacaglia, written for Kremer’s 70th birthday, and Darf ich… The soloists are Gidon Kremer, Geneva Lewis and Andrei Pushkarev.
The release marks Kremer’s 80th birthday and the 30th anniversary of Kremerata Baltica in 2027.
