Justina Gringytė Receives Lithuanian Golden Disc Award

Justina Gringytė has received the Golden Disc Award (Auksinis diskas) of the Lithuanian Musicians’ Union. Since 2001 the award has honoured the outstanding Lithuanian performers of the year; Gringytė was named its laureate in the singer category for 2020.

The award was presented at the Lithuanian National Philharmonic in Vilnius, where she shared the stage with “Svajonė”, the orchestra of her own former music school.

The Lithuanian mezzo-soprano was named Young Singer of the Year at the International Opera Awards and is a graduate of the Jette Parker Young Artists Programme at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. Later this month she sings Amneris in Verdi’s Aida at the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre.
